1 If your declaration covers donations you may make in the future:
2. You must pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that the Diocese reclaims on your donations in the tax year. (You may pay Income Tax for example on your salary, pension or investments.)
3. If in future your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your income and/or capital gains (as noted above) at least equal to the tax that the Diocese reclaims, you can cancel your declaration at any time. (See note 1.)
4. If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in your Self-Assessment tax return.
5. If you are unsure whether your donations qualify for Gift Aid Tax relief, ask your parish or diocesan organiser, or phone the HMRC or refer to the help sheet IR65 on the HMRC web site. (www.hmrc.gov.uk)
Thank you for entering this page. Here you may read the notes which accompany the Gift Aid Declaration.
You may also print them off if you wish to keep a copy.
After you have read the notes, please click here to download the Gift Aid Declaration.
(To print the declaration, when the page has loaded, select the word FILE at the top left of the screen, above the page you are looking at, probably near your forwards and backwards internet page arrows, then select PRINT)
Once you have printed it, we would be grateful if you would complete it and bring it to church.
Many thanks,
Terry O'Neil
